Effective Solutions for Aeration Tanks
Aerators are used in wastewater treatment plants to provide oxygen transfer in aeration tanks and to promote sludge stabilization in sludge storage tanks. Their impeller design draws wastewater vertically and discharges it horizontally across the water surface, maximizing air–water contact and ensuring efficient oxygen transfer.
The aerator consists of a gearbox-driven shaft and impeller. The gearbox is selected to withstand continuous-duty operating conditions, ensuring reliable long-term performance. Depending on the characteristics of the application, aerators can be manufactured as fixed bridge-mounted units, floating units for variable-depth tanks, or guide-tube mounted units for deeper tanks. The housing, shaft, and impeller are manufactured from epoxy-coated carbon steel or stainless steel, depending on customer requirements.
Thanks to their optimized hydraulic design, aerators provide complete mixing, preventing solids from settling while delivering oxygen efficiently throughout the tank, including its deepest sections.
