Screen Press

High-Efficiency Waste Volume Reduction

Screen Presses are used to compact screenings removed by mechanical screens, reducing their volume and facilitating handling and disposal.

Screenings discharged into the inlet hopper are conveyed toward the outlet by a screw conveyor. During this process, the material is compacted, allowing the separated water to drain into a collection chamber beneath the unit and be returned to the treatment process. The dewatered and compacted screenings are then discharged into a container or other collection system for disposal.

All components of the Screen Press are manufactured entirely from stainless steel. By reducing the volume of screenings by up to 60%, the system significantly lowers transportation and disposal costs while improving overall handling efficiency.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the advantages of using a Screen Press?

A Screen Press reduces both the volume and moisture content of screenings, helping to minimize odor generation, reduce container replacement frequency, and simplify transportation and disposal. As a result, plant operation becomes more efficient while overall disposal costs are significantly reduced.

Depending on the characteristics of the screenings, a Screen Press can reduce their volume by up to 50–60%. This extends container filling intervals and reduces transportation and disposal costs.
