As part of the İSKİ Cumhuriyet Drinking Water Treatment Plant Project, which will make a lasting contribution to Istanbul’s drinking water infrastructure, Deniz Mühendislik began manufacturing the project’s mechanical equipment several months ago. This week, we successfully completed and delivered the first batch of equipment.
Within the scope of the project, Deniz Mühendislik is responsible for manufacturing key mechanical equipment, including Rapid Mixers, Flocculators, Sludge Thickeners, Scrapers, and Penstocks. Production is progressing according to schedule, supported by our engineering expertise and comprehensive quality assurance procedures.
As one of İSKİ’s largest infrastructure investments, the Cumhuriyet Drinking Water Treatment Plant will increase the existing treatment capacity from 720,000 m³/day to 1,080,000 m³/day, representing a 50% capacity increase. Once completed, water conveyed from the Melen system will be treated and transferred to the European side of Istanbul via the Bosphorus crossing, providing a sustainable solution to the city’s growing drinking water demand.
We are proud to contribute to this important infrastructure project and look forward to successfully completing the remaining stages of production and delivery.
